CITIZEN CHAPTER

ANIL NEERUKONDA EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY (ANES) has been founded by Dr. Neerukonda BR Prasad, Chairman an NRI Philanthropist from USA and his wife, Smt Dr. Sujatha Neerukonda, Vice Chairman and his son Mr. Naveen Neerukonda, Treasurer in memory of his late son Anil Neerukonda.

Dr. Neerukonda Prasad is working with missionary zeal, unrelenting commitment and strong financial backing, along with his friends, planned and completed the construction of a $6 million Balaji Temple, Arora, in greater Chicago, U.S.A. He served in U.S.A. for about 40 years as a Physician and got retired and came back to INDIA to serve the motherland especially the Rural Poor by providing Global facilities in health care, medical education and technical education.

ANES was registered as a non-profit organization at Visakhapatnam on 2nd of August, 2000 with the following

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To train pupils to be good and as responsible citizens by nurturing their potentiality to play a useful and effective role in the society.

To promote international understanding in the educational & cultural spheres for developmental co-operation among Peoples and Nations.

Our goal is to produce young physicians who are prepared to serve the fundamental purposes of medicine. To this end, our graduates will possess the attributes that are necessary to meet their individual and collective responsibilities to the Society.

TOPOGRAPHY

As a part in fulfillment of the above aims and objectives, the NRI Institute of Medical Sciences was established and it was started functioning from the academic year 2012-13. It was located at a distance of 25kms from Waltair (Visakhapatnam) Railway Station, 23km from state bus complex, 40kms from the Naval Airport and 20kms from the upcoming International Airport on the National Highway from Chennai to Kolkatta. Anil Neerukonda Hospital was established with all basic specialities in the year 2005 with a bed strength of 300. Now the same hospital has been upgraded as teaching hospital with 650 beds having 10 specialities. In addition to this 24hrs and Trauma care with 25 beds and well equipped Intensive care units with 40 beds also provided.

Anil Neerukonda Educational Society is a non-profit society registered under AP Societies Registration Act 2000

It provides medical care to all patients who come to this institute and allow to train the medical, dental and nursing students.

CASUALTY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES

The casualty functions round the clock all the days (24/7).

Casualty Medical officer and Resident Doctors are available 24 hrs all the days (24/7).

Duty Doctors are available on duty round the clock in all specialties (24/7).

There are 25 beds in the emergency room + 3 Beds for Obst. ICU

Emergency Cases are attended promptly.

All the items required are made available during mass casualties.

In serious cases, priority is given to treatment/ management than paper work like registration and medico-legal cases. The decision rests with the treating doctor.

Emergency operation theatre is maintained with a regular basis to ensure that it is ready to use at any movement.

AMBULANCE SERVICES

The Ambulance services are available for transportation of patients.This facility is available 24 hours, on all days (24/7).

OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENTS

Timings: 9.00a.m. till the last patient is seen.

Every outpatient seeking treatment at the hospital is registered prior to the consultation.For every new patient a Unique MRD number will be generated. If you have been registered previously, kindly quote your Medical Record Number, while taking an appointment or visiting the Hospital. In case, you are a non-appointment/walk-in patient, you are requested to wait to see the doctor. Appointment patients will be given a preference. Only emergency walk-in can be seen out of turn Payments for all specialties can be made at the Billing Counter.

COMPLAINTS & GRIEVANCES

There may be occasions when our services have not met with your expectations. Please do not hesitate to register your complaints. It will only help us serve you better. Every grievance will be duly acknowledged. We aim to settle your genuine complaints within 10 working days of its receipt. Suggestions/Complaint boxes are also provided at various locations in the hospital. If we cannot, we will explain the reasons and the time we will take to resolve.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE USERS

The success of this charter depends on the support we receive from our uses. Please try to appreciate the various constraints under which the hospital is functioning. Please do not inconvenience other patients. Please help us in keeping the hospital and its surroundings neat and clean. Please use the facilities of this hospital with care.

Beware of Touts. The Hospital is a “No Smoking Zone” and smoking on the premises is a Punishable Offence. Non-holcholic

Please refrain from demanding undue favors from the staff and officials as it encourages corruption. Please do not offer any tips and gifts to any of the hospital staff for the service provided.
