Paediatrics tunes a student's medical skills towards the health of infants, children and adolescents, their growth and development, and their opportunity to achieve full potential as adults. Paediatricians who care for the young are also concerned with social and environmental influences along with the health and well-being of children and their families. The young are often the most vulnerable in society and so their needs require special attention.
The Pediatric and neonatology department of Anil Neerukonda Hospital caters to a large population of patients,in the adjacent districts of Visakhapatnam and near by states , Orissa and Chhattisgarh, starting from perinatal period till adolescent age group. The extent and scope of services are manifold. The department entails the facilities, that a tertiary level care hospital is expected to provide, through experienced senior and junior faculty and dedicated nursing staff trained to provide care to the children.
