Guest lecture on Alternative to animal experiments on 20 th November 2025
The Department of Pharmacology, NRIIMS conducted Guest lecture on “Alternative to animal experiments” to the Postgraduate Students and faculty on 20th November 2025 from 2pm to 4pm at Dr. Yellapragada Subbarao lecture gallery, 6 th floor, ANH. The program started with inauguration and lighting of the lamp by our Principal Dr. A. Bhagyalakshmi. This was followed by a brief Introductory lecture on Alternative to animal experiments by Dr. P. Jagadeesh, Professor and HOD, Pharmacology, NRIIMS. Dr. K. Ram mohan; Assistant professor introduced the guest speaker to the audience.
Dr. K. Prasanth, CEO, Symbioen Labs, Chennai delivered the guest lecture cum interactive session with the PGs and Faculty on the topic “New-Gen Preclinical Disease Model & Drug Discovery”. The program was also graced by Dr. Prathima devi; Additional Medical superintendent, Anil Neerukonda Hospital, Dr. Krishna prakash; Vice principal, NRIIMS and by HODs and faculty of various departments.
The program concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Priyadharsni, Assistant professor, Pharmacology, NRIIMS.
