World TB Day 2022 – Public Awareness Rally
As part of observation of World TB day on 24.03.22, a public awareness rally was organized in the intensive coverage area of RHTC, Anandapuram. The entire team of Department of Community Medicine in collaboration with the Nursing College took part in this rally, which was flagged off by Head of the Department.
The objective of this rally was to spread awareness among the public about the importance of following appropriate measures to prevent the spread of TB in the community. It also highlighted the need for preventing stigma & discrimination towards TB patients, which is one of the hindering factors in non-adherence to TB care.
Organizing such a rally and creating awareness among the general public is the need of the hour in our combined fight against TB and to attain our National TB elimination goal.
Also, a knowledge dissemination talk was held at RHTC for the students of nursing college, in which the postgraduates of community medicine were involved under the supervision of faculty.
