World Breast Feeding Week 2022
World Breastfeeding Week is observed every year in the first week of August. The theme for World Breastfeeding Week 2022 was “Step Up For Breastfeeding: Educate and Support,” to raise breastfeeding awareness of the value of breastfeeding.
Aimed in this direction, an awareness campaign in the form of health education activities was organised during the entire week at different health centres and also at household level. Role play was performed by undergraduate students at UHTC, Anandapuram and Anganwadi centres.
Reflecting our commitment for a healthy World, Department of Community Medicine, NRIIMS is now futured in the World Pledge Map to step up for breastfeeding and has been recognized by World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) for the observation of world breast feeding week 2022 with alignment with their objectives (#WBW 2022)
