The initiative aimed to create awareness, screen, and address key health issues affecting women across different age groups—both in the hospital setting and in the community field practice areas. The programme involved active collaboration with the Departments of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Medicine, Orthopaedics, and other clinical specialties, ensuring a comprehensive and holistic approach to women’s health.
Key activities included:
Health education sessions on nutrition, reproductive health, non-communicable diseases, and mental well-being.
Screening camps for anaemia, hypertension, diabetes, breast and cervical cancer, and musculoskeletal problems.
Counselling services on maternal health, family planning, and gender equity.
Outreach activities and health camps conducted in urban and rural field practice areas to reach underserved populations.
