Clinicopathological correlation meeting was conducted on 31-05-23 in the department of pathology along with the department of gynecology and Obstetrics and 2 interesting cases were discussed.
Case 1: A 29 year old female came to the OP with complaint of inability to conceive , irregular menstrual cycles from one year .General examination was not significant. Per speculum examination showed a friable polypoidal lesion bleeding on touch which gave rise to the clinical suspicion of malignancy and a biopsy was taken and histopathology report is TUBERCULOUS CERVICITIS.
The patient is being followed up and is on ATT
Case 2: A 79 year old female came to the OP with complaint of mass per vaginum. On examination there was a prolapsed uterus with a circumferential ulcer on the cervix with involvement of the upper vagina
Histopathology report is Large cell keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma
